The Shepherd's Godparent Home 
Founded in 1992, The Shepherd’s Godparent Home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Bangor, Maine.  It took several years to select just the right property for our organization.  We learned at the time of purchase that the house had been used as a residential maternity home for unwed mothers 100 years ago. We believe when you enter our Home, you will feel a sense of belonging and will adapt easily to the homey surroundings.  This sense of security will assist you in making the important decisions which you will face in the near future. Life at the Shepherd’s Godparent Home will be both encouraging and challenging to you.  Our Houseparents and staff are committed to loving both you and your unborn baby unconditionally.  The daily schedule at the Home is filled with activities such as academic classes, educational field trips, life skills training, crafts and much more.

Grace Evangelical College & Seminary 
Grace Evangelical is located in Bangor, Maine, offering bachelor’s & master’s level studies and degrees. We are the only Evangelical Seminary north of Massachusetts in New England. Churches need Pastors, Ministers, and trained lay leaders. Often, the churches have difficulty recruiting educated Pastors to their small, rural communities. Some churches even fill the pulpit from the pew. Our small school provides an intimate classroom environment. We have touched the minds and hearts of over 100 students over the past five years. Our semester registrations have grown steadily. Current students are already serving area churches as able Pastors, supply Preachers, and teachers. They include both traditional undergraduates and non-traditional  students who receive the call later in life. They have varied backgrounds, work experience and education. As Grace Evangelical students, they are examples of a need being met.
